WHAT IS ‘SALAD DAYS’?Salad Days is a blog chronicling my everyday adventures in happiness, health and well-being. Inspired by the recent prioritization of these elements in my own life, I hope that my insight, observations, and experiments can be helpful to you as well. After all, sharing is caring. The domain name is derived from a turn of phrase in Shakespeare’s Anthony and Cleopatra. It means “the days of one’s youthful inexperience.” And as an aspiring vegetarian, the English major in me loves the double entendre. WHO AM I?I’m Nancy - a twentysomething urban professional living in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. Yawn, I know. A holdover from the Web 1.0 era, I have been online since 1998. I was most notably a 2001 finalist in the Personal Website / Online Journal category at SXSW Interactive for cromulent.org (select archives here). Since then, however, my internet activity precipitiously waned; I’ve found myself more of a spectator than a participant. This is an ongoing experiment in rediscovering my online voice. When offline, I enjoy yoga, surfing, and snowboarding. Fun facts about me include:

In kindergarten, I painted a mural with Keith Haring.
I was once a pharmaceutical model.
I’ve co-authored a book which has sold 10,000 copies internationally. For which I feel fortunate.

I also have an unmitigated case of international wanderlust.
